"Can I get chlamydial genital infection more than once?"

Yes.  There is some evidence [reviewed on the professional web site] that chlamydial   infection may give rise to some immunity [protection against the infection], particularly when frequent exposure to infection occurs, as  in commercial sex workers. However any natural immunity against further chlamydial infection is normally very short lived, probably a matter of a few weeks or so. People are known who have had chlamydial infection, and other STIs like gonorrhoea, on numerous occasions.

If you DO have a chlamydial infection, your regular sex partner probably also does. So, even if YOU are treated, you really need to make sure that your partner is also checked and treated so that you don't get reinfected again.
