Persistent chlamydial infection

Two cases of persistent C. trachomatis infection in the human genital tract?

The following is a Microsoft Powerpoint® presentation on two cases, chosen to illustrate the practical problems that chronic chlamydial genital tract infection can pose to the clinician. To the particular physician concerned, this was very much an example of persistent chlamydial infection. Whether that has anything to do with our in vitro models of persistent infection (i.e. suspended chlamydial development) is a moot point.

There are two cases with a summary at the end of each. Follow through the slides in the indicated sequence, double clicking on the thumbnail to see the slide [each slide is ~ 32Kb].
